GNi Leases 21,500 SF in Legacy Civic Tower II
Networking solutions firm Global Netoptex Inc. (GNi) has leased 21,504 square feet to occupy the entire eighth floor and part of the ground floor of the Legacy Civic Tower II in San Jose, CA.
GNi is relocating and expanding to the 14-story tower next month from about 5,000 square feet at Park Center Plaza in San Jose. The new five-year lease includes a small amount of data center space.
Earlier in the year, online publishing tools provider McClatchy Interactive inked a seven-year lease in the building to occupy the entire fifth floor, or 14,500 square feet. The firm took occupancy in June.
Drew Arvay, Aaron Fritz and Kari Cullivan of NAI BT Commercial San Jose represented the landlord, Legacy Partners, in both deals. Nevin Spieker and Nate Jones of Spieker Statmore Commercial represented GNi, while Kevin Crawford and Mark Ritchie of Ritchie Commercial represented McClatchy Interactive.
Legacy Civic Tower II was built in 1972 and renovated in 1987. It sits at 75 E. Santa Clara St. in downtown San Jose, adjacent to Legacy Civic Tower I. Legacy acquired the 416,521-square-foot complex in 2005 from Cornerstone Properties and renovated the property.
