Frogster Online Chooses GNi’s Leading Multiplayer Game Hosting Platform to Host “Runes of Magic”
Frogster Online Gaming, a Berlin, Germany MMOG publisher and part of the Frogster Interactive AG group, has selected GNi, a leader in Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), to host “Runes of Magic”.,, the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) that is redefining the standard for free-to-play titles.
“GNi was a logical choice for us to host “Runes of Magic” because of their experience in MMOG game hosting, and flexible infrastructure which ensures uncompromised play for our registered players,” stated Andreas Weidenhaupt, CEO of Frogster Online Gaming. “Our decision to host with GNi is based on more than hardware and bandwidth, as early on we determined that we needed a company with extensive experience with online monetized games, and outstanding industry relationships we could leverage in our successful launch of this game worldwide.”
“Frogster has extensively planned and done everything right in getting this game to the market and we are confident that we will help them meet their player goals in Europe,” stated Philip Bouchard, CEO of GNi. Currently, the “Runes of Magic” Beta is being hosted in GNi’s Frankfurt Data Center location with a plan for rapid deployment to other data centers as the Beta ends and the game rolls out globally to a rapidly growing audience, which is already ranks it number one in the unofficial US free2play MMO charts (tentonhammer.com).
With an extensive range of features, “Runes of Magic” prepares to redefine the standard of free-to-play MMO games. Right from the launch “Runes of Magic” will convey its absorbing story in over 1000 quests embedded in an atmospheric world.
